Samad Dental Studio: Dental Bridges

Missing teeth can impact your confidence and oral health. At Samad Dental Studio, we offer custom-crafted dental bridges to seamlessly replace missing teeth, restoring your ability to chew, speak, and smile with complete confidence.

What Are Dental Bridges?

A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth by joining an artificial tooth definitively to adjacent teeth or dental implants. Essentially, it “bridges” the gap created by missing teeth. The bridge consists of two crowns on the anchoring teeth (abutments) and a false tooth (pontic) in between. At Samad Dental Studio, we design our bridges using high-grade porcelain or zirconia to ensure they look natural and function just like your real teeth.

Benefits of Dental Bridges

Restoring Your Natural Smile

Bridges are designed to match the color, shape, and size of your natural teeth, instantly filling gaps and restoring the aesthetics of your smile.

Preventing Teeth from Shifting

When you have a missing tooth, the remaining teeth can drift into the empty space, causing bite alignment issues. A bridge holds the adjacent teeth in their proper place.

Restoring Chewing and Speaking Ability

Missing teeth can make it difficult to pronounce certain words or chew food properly. A bridge restores full functionality, allowing you to eat and speak with ease.

Maintaining Facial Structure

Tooth loss can lead to bone loss and a “sunken” facial appearance over time. By replacing the tooth structure, bridges help support your cheeks and lips, maintaining your youthful facial shape.

Our Dental Bridge Process:

Restoring Your Smile Step-by-Step At Samad Dental Studio, we ensure the bridge placement is precise and comfortable:

Step 1

Assessment and Preparation

We begin by preparing the “abutment” teeth (the healthy teeth on either side of the gap) by re-contouring them to allow room for a crown. We then take precise impressions or digital scans of the area.

Step 2

Temporary Bridge Placement

While our dental lab creates your custom bridge, we fit you with a temporary bridge to protect the exposed teeth and gums and to fill the gap aesthetically.

Step 3

Fitting the Permanent Bridge

Once your custom bridge is ready, you will return to the studio. We remove the temporary bridge and carefully check the new bridge for fit, color match, and bite alignment.

Step 4

Cementing and Final Polish

After ensuring everything fits perfectly, the bridge is permanently cemented into place. We perform a final polish to ensure it feels smooth and comfortable in your mouth.

Who is an Ideal Candidate for Dental Bridges?

Dental bridges are an excellent solution for many patients, specifically:

Patients with One to Three Missing Teeth

Individuals missing one or more teeth in a row are primary candidates, provided there are healthy teeth on either side of the gap to support the bridge.

Those with Strong Abutment Teeth

Candidates must have healthy, strong teeth (or dental implants) adjacent to the missing tooth space to serve as anchors for the bridge.

Patients Who Prefer Non-Surgical Options

For patients who cannot undergo surgery for dental implants due to health reasons or insufficient bone density, bridges offer a reliable, non-surgical alternative.

Individuals with Good Oral Hygiene

To ensure the longevity of the bridge, the candidate should be committed to maintaining good oral hygiene to keep the supporting teeth and gums healthy.

Cost and Insurance Information

Cost and Insurance for Dental Bridges The cost of a dental bridge at Samad Dental Studio depends on the number of teeth being replaced (units) and the materials used (e.g., zirconia, porcelain-fused-to-metal). Because bridges are considered a restorative procedure, many dental insurance plans cover a significant portion of the cost. Our team is experienced in navigating insurance policies and will provide you with a detailed cost estimate and financing options before treatment begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do dental bridges last?

Dental bridges typically last between 5 to 15 years, and often longer with proper care. Good oral hygiene and regular check-ups at Samad Dental Studio are key to their longevity.

Actually, replacing missing teeth with a bridge should make eating easier. However, until you get used to it, we recommend eating soft foods cut into small pieces.

Since the bridge is connected, you cannot floss down between the replacement teeth. You will need to use special tools like a “floss threader,” super floss, or an interdental brush to clean underneath the pontic (false tooth). Our team will demonstrate how to do this.

Both have pros and cons. Implants do not require filing down adjacent teeth and preserve jawbone, but they require surgery. Bridges are faster and non-surgical. We will help you decide which is best for your specific case.
